(Re)rooting Indigenous Leadership Inc., is an Indigenous women-owned company committed to fostering the growth of Indigenous leaders and building equitable workplaces. Our mission is to transform Canadian workplaces by integrating Indigenous knowledge and ways of doing into policies, training, programming, and strategies.

Indigenous Leadership Programs
Our programs are tailored for companies interested in supporting Indigenous employees and leaders, and they can be customized to suit company's specific needs and timelines.
Indigenous Employees Program
This program is designed for Indigenous employees at entry to mid-level stages of their careers. It covers a wide range of elements, including Indigenous values, addressing workplace challenges, and embracing traditional leadership practices. Additionally, it explores complex topics such as identity, racism, and community building in the workplace.
The program consists of 8 virtual modules, each lasting 90 minutes.
People Leader Programs
This program is aimed at organizational leaders seeking to support Indigenous employees. It explores the experiences of Indigenous employees, addressing issues such as biases, equity tax, and tokenism. Furthermore, it provides training on fostering Indigenous leadership capacity.
The program comprises 2 virtual modules, each lasting 90 minutes.
Our Team
Sarah Jacknife (she/her) MPP, Co-Founder
Sarah has a decade of experience in Indigenous Relations, which includes national work in Indigenous higher education and telecommunications, as well as international collaboration with Indigenous stakeholders in New Zealand. Her work has been published in The Globe and Mail, CBC, and the Calgary Herald.
Additionally, Sarah serves as a sessional instructor at the School of Public Policy at the University of Calgary and is a member of both the Canadian Indigenous Leadership Circle and the Calgary Aboriginal Urban Affairs Committee.
Sarah is a member of Elizabeth Métis Settlement with connections to Saddle Lake Cree First Nation in Treaty 6. She resides as a guest in Treaty 7.
